Latest: Maryse leaves WWE

As you may have heard, Maryse Ouellet has been released from her WWE contract and wished all the best in her future endeavours.

From the wording of her most recent tweet, it sounds like she asked to leave. And you can’t blame her.

I put her desire to leave WWE solely down to the utter tediousness of NXT. She trotted out obediently, week after week, claiming the rag-tag band of no-hopers on show as her very own rookies (imagine the shame!).

Then Matt Striker, incompetent that he is, gradually started to usurp her presenting time, as she moved into a mostly decorative role in an increasingly awful array of outfits, and stupid love storylines with Yoshi blinkin’ Tatsu and freakin’ Hornswoggle.

She’s been off after an operation over the summer, but knowing you’ve got to go back to NXT can’t hasten your recovery time.

So in conclusion, if NXT didn’t suck so very hard, Maryse would still be a Diva. I believe this to be fact.

I had no idea she was on NXT. I think the WWE just loves breaking up couples. Either putting them on different brands so they have to travel apart or injuring one. Then if they dare be healthy and on the same show… they’ll release one.

Maryse could have been a barbie doll to challenge Beth & Natalya. But there’s only room for one Barbie on RAW.

Where else can they get someone with Maryse’s flavor. Will there really be another French club bimbo that wants to be in wrestling?

You could totally be right about the couples thing. They seem to have left Nattie and Tyson alone for the time being, though.

Natalya is on Smackdown isn’t she… I forget seeing as how she’s on RAW and Tyson is on NXT. I’m sure there’s an exception to every rule.

I’ve got no idea who’s supposed to be on what show any more. Also I guess Nattie and Tyson as a couple pre-date their WWE careers. Maybe that’s acceptable.

Me neither. Rumor has it that RAW is now a supershow because Smackdown attendance has dropped and their ratings are 2/3rds what it used to be. So they think by having Smackdown guys on RAW it will bump up the ratings for Smackdown. No… it just makes people disappointed when Cena isn’t on Smackdown house shows.

The Tyson & Natalya thing might be since they’re in the same (broken up) faction. Or maybe having Natalya + Beth is just Vince’s way of saying Natalya is with a real man now. Its funny watching some Smackdown match from last year…. Kelly & Natalya vs Le Cool. They were doing the exact same gimmick they are now where Le Cool were the posh barbies and Kelly & Natalya wanted to show them what wrestling is.

  4. […] 2) It’s structured as a proper wrestling show now. There’s a permanent home, there’s a crowd who aren’t just sitting through these matches because they got there too early for the big stars, there are commentators (which include Jim Ross, giving it a sense of authenticity and a stamp of approval), and as yet there have been no occurrences of people resigning from the company because they are so very very bored with the show.
