Question: is this the stupidest news article about wrestling ever?

Here’s a piece from today’s Telegraph, talking about the ring invasion by a fan, who proceeded to hit Randy Orton with a low blow, during WWE’s South Africa tour.

See if you can spot what’s so exceptionally stupid about it (apart from the appalling subbing).

Yes, that’s right – it’s another “wrestling isn’t real, so nor are the injuries” story!

I started putting a list together of actual injuries incurred just in WWE and WCW – Daniel Bryan’s eye socket, multiple concussions (recently Fandango, the Miz, Dolphin Ziggler; and too many to count going further back, but honourable mention to the one Bret Hart incurred that effectively ended his wrestling career), Sycho Sid’s leg break, Christian’s shoulder, Rey Mysterio’s knee, Rey Mysterio’s knee, Rey Mysterio’s knee, Rey Mysterio’s knee, Rey Mysterio’s knee.

But then I figured that the fact that Owen Hart actually died in the ring should be enough to prove to the Telegraph that professional wrestling is in fact fraught with risks if they just took the time to either a) watch a show or b) just frickin’ Google it.
