Well, we’re only two days away from Survivor Series, and now that John Cena’s back and a champion, the WWE hierarchy seem to be convinced that this is going to boost their PPV buys.

Remember – they were disappointed with the Summerslam figures, and are basically blaming it on Daniel Bryan.

So after a couple of weeks of thrown-together nonsense where the very THOUGHT that a grown-up single woman might have slept with a grown-up single man has been deemed a “scandal” and where the “traditional Survivor Series match” has been scrabbling around for some semblance of a storyline, tonight is finally Survivor Series. Question: Has Money in the Bank 2011 ruined us all for ever?

It’s a question I often ponder. Will anything ever be as exciting as the denouement of the 2011 Money in the Bank PPV?

In fact, the whole show was worked brilliantly – the Smackdown MitB briefcase match was a fantastic opening to the show, and Christian proved his cowardly heel credentials against Randy Orton.

And somehow it doesn’t matter that somewhere between that and Randy Orton v Christian there was Kelly Kelly versus a Bella, the Henry v Show hossfest and a Raw briefcase match whose conclusion was obvious from the start.

What was great about the PPV was REALLY great, and your enduring images of it will be Daniel Bryan sobbing as he clutched the blue briefcase that guarantees him a title shot at some point in the future, and CM Punk high-tailing it out of the building, WWE belt in tow.

Question: Are you going to buy the WWE Survivor Series PPV?

So having watched the WWE RAW go-home show prior to Sunday’s Survivor Series PPV (yes, OK, Smackdown’s on Friday, but that doesn’t really count, does it?), will you be forking out your hard-earned cash for the show? It’s on Box Office in the UK as well as the US, as are all the important shows, so you’ve got six days to decide…

Question: will the Rock accept John Cena’s invitation to team up at Survivor Series?
